Gnomes

Gnomes, like eladrin and elves, originate from the feywild, though like the elves they’ve existed in Eberron for millennia. Most gnomes settled in modern-day Zilargo, a nation which hosts the world’s greatest libraries. Gnomes are a curious, studious people who also excel at intrigue and deception. Their nation is governed by an organization known as The Trust which is more than a match for Breland’s Dark Lanterns or the Royal Eyes of Aundair. There are no city watch or guards in Zilargo—criminals simply disappear once they’ve become too much of a nuisance. Gnomes also have a mastery of elemental binding, a secret which is necessary for the creation of elemental galleons and airships. Their religious beliefs are as diverse as those of humans.

Gnomes can manifest Aberrant Marks or the Mark of Scribing (House Sivis—Notaries Guild, Speakers Guild).

Mechanically, gnomes get +2 to Intelligence and +2 to either Charisma or Dexterity. They are naturally very stealthy, can create illusory sounds, and can even become invisible once per encounter upon taking damage. Gnomes can see better in low-light conditions.
